Netherlands’ Football Club Dordrecht utilizes Apifonica’s Fan Engagement solution to promote the start of the new football season across their supporter base.
Founded in 1883, FC Dordrecht currently plays in the Eerste Divisie, the second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands. A couple of weeks before the start of the new 2019-2020 season, the club launched a supporter marketing campaign aimed to engage the fans and promote season ticket sales. They used Apifonica’s Fan Engagement solution to give a personal phone call to each fan and deliver a voice message recorded by the team captain Daniël Breedijk.
A fully automated campaign featured calling a list of phone numbers, playing a pre-recorded message, answering return calls, and delivering SMS with a link to a ticket purchase form. The campaign was split into two stages to reach the maximum number of contacts. On the first day, Apifonica dialled all the contacts on the list. On the second day, it made a repeat attempt to get through to those who neither have answered the initial call nor called back.
As a result, 95% of contacts picked up a call or called back later, 70% of them listened to the whole message, and 99% received an SMS.
