Update to SMS Messaging campaigns – instant validation and smarter insights

This month we shipped an improvement to the SMS sendout tool which now provides instant validation of messaging campaigns after upload, smarter insights and campaign reporting, as well as short link recognition.

What changed

  • Campaign pricing is now calculated and displayed instantly after file upload. You can see the total cost upfront and understand how factors like message content and contact list quality impact the final price.
  • We’ve optimised the interface to deliver summaries and performance metrics with no lag.
  • File upload and validation now instantly clean and prepare your contact lists. Duplicates are removed, invalid and non-mobile numbers are filtered out, and all numbers are automatically normalised to local country formats.
  • Entering links in SMS campaigns is now simpler and more intuitive.
  • Reports now allow filtering by messaging status, and filters persist when you navigate away and return.
  • Search now supports partial phone numbers, making it easier to locate specific entries.
  • The analytics module now supports exporting reports with up to 100,000 SMS records at once, with built-in guidance if your export exceeds this limit.

  • You stop spending the budget on low-quality data: by eliminating duplicates and excluding invalid or non-mobile numbers before sending, you avoid wasted messages and reduce campaign costs by up to 15–30%.
  • Better reporting UX: persistent filters and quick-number search reduce friction when investigating campaign performance.
  • Less friction when creating messages and more efficient use of characters: shorter links help avoid extra message segments (and costs), while enabling conversion tracking for each click at the individual number level.

How it works in practice

1. Managing your contacts and locale: choose and upload your customer database file.
2. The system will immediately show the valid/invalid line count, flag duplicates (if there are any) and display the total campaign price. Submit your campaign or edit and re-upload it.
3. Once the campaign is finished, open the report, filter by messaging status and measure the performance. If you navigate away (to other tabs) and return, filters remain intact.

What’s next

We plan to further refine our platform based on continued performance tracking and customer feedback. Future enhancements will focus on reducing report load times, expanding short-link handling and analytics capabilities, and improving export options for extremely large campaigns.
